The weekly landscape maintenance service consists of the following:
Mowing Lawn: The turf is mowed at a height suitable for the season, usually at three inches. The clippings are bagged and recycled in the spring and fall and mulched in the summer to reclaim nutrients.
Edging: All sidewalks and driveways are edged or trimmed
with a string trimmer to give the
landscape a neat appearance while keeping turf from encroaching upon paved
surfaces.
Trimming: A string trimmer is used to trim grass around beds,
trees, posts and other landscape features to give a neat appearance.
Bed Cultivation: Weeds are trimmed from, cultivated, and or removed from landscape beds to keep them neat. New edges are put on the beds using a spade during the spring clean-up to maintain the lines of the beds.
Hard surface cleaning: Sidewalks, decks, drives, and patios are
cleaned using blowers and brooms. We will also clean debris that we create
from the street.
Yard waste removal: We take all waste from the maintenance
service to be recycled at a facility in Westbury, NY. If there are large
branches or other materials to be discarded there may be an additional charge
for removal and disposal.
How our service works:
You will be provided with an estimate for the costs of most of the
maintenance services your landscape will need for the year including weekly
maintenance, pruning and trimming, lawn care product applications, aeration,
etc. We will assign your property a day of the week that we will come and
do maintenance. We do this geographically. We do understand that
clients prefer to have their lawns cut toward the end of the week and we
do our best to leave maintenance services for Wednesday to Friday.
Rain or other factors beyond our control such as mechanical
issues may delay the schedule for the week. If your service will be
delayed by more than two full days we will notify you. Otherwise please
know that we will arrive soon. We may come a day earlier
than usual if rain is predicted later in the week. We may come a day later
then usual if it rained early in the week, but we will be there!
Reliability is essential.
Dog owners: Please remove piles from your yard at least one day
before your normal maintenance day. We will mow around any offending spots
or skip that section for the week. If a section is not mowed due to doo-doo
(shoo be doo wah) you will still be billed the full weekly charge. Thank you for your
